ADAPT Parkour & Freerunning coaching course this Easter!

Stephane Vigroux, one of the world’s most experienced Parkour practitioners, will be coming to Sydney this Easter to deliver level 1 of the first internationally recognised Parkour & Freerunning coaching qualification, ADAPT (http://www.adaptqualifications.com/).

“We are please to announce the opening of ADAPT qualifications in Australia. The only internationally recognised Parkour & FreeRunning coaching qualification.

This session will be delivered by Parkour Generations level 3 coaches Stephane Vigroux and Dom Willoughby at Jump Squad HQ in Sydney.

The qualification programme provides the industry benchmark for parkour/art du deplacement instruction, and has been formulated over several years by many of the founding figures of the discipline of parkour/art du deplacement.

The ADAPT Qualifications are developed in conjunction with 1st4sport Qualifications, the awarding body for active learning and leisure, and are recognised and accredited by both QCA and Ofqual.

• Pre-requisites: candidates for Level 1 coaching must be at least 18 years-old and be in possession of a valid First Aid certificate (This can happen after the ADAPT course).

• Coursework (21 hours): The Assistant Coach course consists of 3 full days of training covering Parkour practice and principles, parkour coaching and assessment. The assessment consists of final written and practical test as well as completion of a log book and action plan. On passing these requirements, participants receive a Certificate of Completion.

• Practical work (minimum 10 sessions): In addition to the coursework, candidates must complete at least 8 hours of supervised coaching assisting a Level 2 or 3 coach.

• Test-Out: 2 sessions of assistance coaching assessed by a Level 3 coach. On completion of these requirements, participants will receive a Level 1 Assistant Coaching Certificate.
